Edward J. Lundy

A veteran of 35 years on area newspapers, Edward J. Lundy died Sept. 16, 2006 at Wenatchee at the age of 84.

Lundy most recently worked as a copy editor for The Seattle Times before retiring in 1985 after 16 years. He made his home on Possession Point and in Bellevue.

A 1949 graduate of the University of Washington, Lundy spent his entire career at area newspapers, including the Post-Intelligencer, Seattle Journal of Commerce, Marine Digest and the Walla Walla Union-Bulletin.

He was born in Grandview, Yakima County, and moved to the Puget Sound area in 1941. He served for three years in the Army Signal Corps during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Lois, Woodinville; two daughters, Traci Frederick, Leavenworth, and Ruth Fleshman, Woodinville; and five grandchildren.
