Elizabeth L. “Betzi” Beltz, 50, died Sept. 20, 2003, in the house she helped build on Whidbey Island.
The cancer that took her body proved to be powerless against her spirit. According to her family, she was fearless. During her many ordeals she kept her dignity, courage and, most of all, humor.
She was born Nov. 3, 1952, in Seattle.
She is survived by her husband, Rick Dingle; her parents, Jack and Julie Beltz; a sister, Tobie Wolf; a brother, Ted Beltz; four nieces and nephews; countless friends; and her cat, Edgar.
No funeral service is planned. Instead, her family suggests that those who knew her spend a day enjoying their own lives to the fullest; it’s the way she lived every day. Those who wish may make memorial donations to Friends of Home Health, 101 N. Main St., Coupeville, WA 98239.
