Elizabeth Crew Hubert, 88, passed away peacefully on Sept. 13, 2011 in Freeland.
Elizabeth was born Aug. 29, 1923 in Orange, Texas to Forrest and Gladys Crew.
She was a resident of Orange most of her life; moving to Whidbey Island after her husband, Kenny Hubert Jr., passed away in 2003.
Elizabeth was a longtime employee of Dr. C.B.
Shaddock and Dr. Minerva Sultana and was also employed by Todd Christianson at Taylor Home Health in Beaumont, Texas. She was a member of Mauriceville Methodist Church in Texas. After moving to Whidbey Island, Elizabeth joined the Red Hat Society and made many new friends.
Preceding Elizabeth in death were her parents, her husband, and her brother, Forrest E. “Buddy” Crew.
Lovingly remembering Elizabeth are her daughter, Sandra Hubert and friend Pat Leahy of Whidbey Island; her son, Kevin Hubert, Longview, Texas; her daughter, Marilyn Monnig and husband Frank, Las Vegas, Nev.; her grandsons, Jason Reed, Orange, Texas, Matthew Hubert, Plano, Texas, and Zack Hubert and wife Crystal, Wylie, Texas; her granddaughter, Rachel Gennuso and husband Chris of
Las Vegas, Nev.; and great-grandchildren Emilee and Natilee Reed, Orange, Texas and Mackenzie and Jacob Hubert, Wylie, Texas.
A celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be 1 p.m. Friday,
Sept. 23 at Visser Funeral Home, Langley. A dessert reception will follow.
