Ethel Goldsmith died in her Langley home on Nov. 12, 2007.
She was born to Frank and Florence Rhodes on Sept. 30, 1917 in Webb, Saskatchewan, Canada. She moved with her family at age 10 to Whidbey Island and lived here for 80 years.
Ethel was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Earl; grandson Reb and son-in-law Bob Clark. She is survived by her daughters Doris of Arlington and Shirley and her husband John Belcher of Anacortes; four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-granddaughters.
Ethel loved her home and family. She touched numerous lives both at work and in her community. Her family and all those whose lives she enriched along the way will miss her dearly.
A memorial celebration of Ethel’s life will be announced at a later date.
