“Mick” Frank Michael Kramer, 61, of Langley passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008 with his family by his side after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Mick was born to Frank and June Olsen Kramer on Feb. 14, 1947 and with the exception of the last three months, lived all his life on the family farm on Lone Lake.
Mick graduated from Langley High School and worked as a heavy equipment operator for several local companies. Mick was a kind and gentle soul who made friends easily and amused us with his enterprising ideas; he was always trying to figure out a better way to do things.
Mick was predeceased by his mother June Kramer in July of 1988 and by his father Frank Kramer in December of 2006.
Mick is survived by his stepmother Marty Kramer; son Jesse; brothers Tom and his wife Donna; and Kenneth and his wife Kim. He is also survived by nieces and nephews Carl Comfort (Rita), Chris Kramer (Rose), Karyle Kramer (Nathan), Bree Nelson (Jordan), Kale Kramer, Lindsey Read (Brian), Christopher Taylor (Lauren) and Courtney Taylor, as well as many wonderful and loving friends and family.
Mick will be greatly missed by all who knew him including the wonderful people at Skagit Hospice and Whidbey Island Manor who so lovingly took care of Mick at the end of his battle.
Arrangements are being taken care of through Visser Funeral Home and there will be a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17 at Bayview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Mick’s name to Skagit Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
