Georgia L. Johnson, born April 5, 1946 to parents Max and Helen Pillar, peacefully passed on her birthday, April 5, 2022 surrounded by loved ones.
Born and raised in Seattle, she graduated from Shorecrest High School in 1964. Shortly after graduation, she married Gary Coughlin and moved to Whidbey Island where she raised her two children Erin and Brendan. After divorcing in 1987, she later married Jeff Johnson in 1996 with whom she remained until her passing.
Georgia was a devoted and beautiful wife, wonderful mother, terrific grandmother and fabulous friend. She loved the experience of life and had a passion to travel with her family and friends. Georgia was a fabulous homemaker and hostess. Her ability to create an amazingly comfortable home was shared in countless dinners, parties and get-togethers. She also had a passion for working to help others through her study of Tai Yi. Constantly thinking of others, she was able to maintain countless “friendships of the heart” near and far through cards, letters, phone calls and visits. The gift of laughter and love she gave will be missed by many.
Georgia was preceded in death by both of her parents and her brother Gary Pillar. She is survived by husband Jeff Johnson, children Erin Coughlin-Zeigler, Brendan Coughlin; stepchildren Micah Parrick and Montana Johnson; granddaughter Gabrielle Coughlin and 10 other grandchildren. All of whom were blessed to have shared in her love and the grand impact she had in our lives.
There will be a celebration of life on May 21, 2022 from 1-4 pm at the Clinton Community Hall at 6411 Central Ave, Clinton. Light refreshments will be provided. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers we are suggesting a donation to the Healing Circles Langley on their website in honor of Georgia Johnson.
