On Saturday, January 1, 2022, Gloria S. Franz passed into the loving arms of our Lord Jesus at the age of 69.

Gloria was born on Sept 6, 1952 to Volosko and Marianne Bailey in Bietigheim, Germany. She moved with her family from Germany to New Jersey and eventually to Oxnard, CA. On June 8, 1990 she married Rodney A. Franz Jr. and after moving many times with the Navy, together they moved to Oak Harbor, WA in 2003. Gloria loved to travel, spend time with her family and granddaughters, shop antiques, decorate, and grow plants. She enjoyed being involved in the women’s ministries at her church, The Bridge.

Gloria was preceded in death by her father and mother. She is survived by her husband Rodney A. Franz Jr. of Oak Harbor, WA; her sister Evelyn Coleman of Las Vegas, NV; her daughter Heather Chapman of Las Vegas, NV; her granddaughters Natasha Wollin of Mt Vernon, WA; Gabriella Chapman of Las Vegas NV; and Khrystyna Chapman of Lynwood, WA; and her nephew Steven Coleman of Las Vegas, NV.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 5, 2022 at The Bridge Christian Fellowship Church at 552 W. Troxell Rd. Oak Harbor, WA at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest with her father and mother in Las Vegas, NV. A graveside service will be held at the Southern Nevada Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV in April, 2022.
