Harry Foster was born at Swedish Hospital in Seattle and was raised in Olympia. He attended Whitman College and graduated from the University of Washington.
He retired from the Mukilteo School District and volunteered with the South Whidbey Elementary School’s reading program.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kathryn, and daughters, Nancy Wilson, of Everett, Elizabeth Felt, of Freeland, and Ruth Foster Koth, of Seattle. He also leaves seven grandchildren, Emily, Sam, Arthur, Claire, Nora, Noah and Leah.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeland.
