Holly Middleton Becker passed away suddenly at the family home in Freeland on Oct. 20, 2011.
Holly was born Dec. 15, 1954 to John R. and Lois Middleton in San Francisco, Calif.
The family relocated to Issaquah shortly after her birth. She lived in Apache Junction, Ariz. with her mother before moving back to Issaquah and then moved to Coupeville to live with her parents.
Holly worked for her father in the wholesale furniture business after graduating from high school.
Carpet cleaning was the next step in her working career before starting a cat boarding business, Longview Kitty Inn South, at the family home in Freeland. She adored every cat that came in to stay and our home was their home.
Thanksgiving and Christmas were extremely special. Each kitty got their own turkey dinner and a cat toy for Christmas. Holly loved animals of all types and you could see it in her smile.
Her hobbies were gardening, fishing and studying the Bible. She couldn’t seem to get enough information to satisfy her.
Holly is survived by her husband Fred at the family home in Freeland; daughter Matia Larranaga and husband Jesse of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughter Semia McConnell and partner Daniel of Bellingham; one grandson Anthony and a granddaughter Leah; and step-mother Francis Middleton of Coupeville. She was preceded in death by her father John Middleton and her sister Chrissa. Holly will be greatly missed by our family, but the wonderful memories of her will be with us forever.
A celebration of her life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20 at Freeland Hall. Memorial gifts may be made to the WAIF Cat Adoption Center on Scott Road in Freeland.
