Jacob Thomas Anderson, 42, passed away too soon on September 26, 2021. He was born in Banbury, England, on September 7, 1979.
Jake grew up in Oak Harbor, Washington, where he developed a love for the outdoors. He lived his days to the fullest, enjoying camping, water sports, rock climbing, snowboarding and, most of all, fishing. He always sought knowledge and new experiences. Jake was fearless in whatever he did. More than anything, he cherished spending time with loved ones, especially his children.
Jake’s unique sense of humor brought joy to many. Always true to himself and what he believed in; he blazed his own trail throughout life.
He was known as a hard worker with a strong work ethic. Jobs that allowed him to be outside were his favorite. Jake could always be counted on to lend a helping hand. In recent years he dedicated himself to serving others. He became a respected member of his community, offering his support, guidance, and compassion to those struggling with addiction and other challenges. Above all, he wanted people to know they are loved. This was evident in the saying he lived by, “Love is always the answer.”
Jake is survived by his children Kierra and Kaiden Anderson, parents Doug and Kathy Anderson, sister Kim (Anderson) Lockwood, fiancé Kaylee Deisher and her two children Michael and Cheyanne.
A celebration of life will be held in the East Cranberry Lake group picnic area picnic on October 10 from 12-4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jake’s honor to Mighty to Save Ministries by visiting their website https://mightytosaveministries.wildapricot.org/Donate or to PO Box 1738 Oak Harbor, WA, 98277.
