Jacqueline Benefiel

Jacqueline (Jackie) Joan Luther Benefiel was born in Seattle August 26, 1925 and passed away on her 87th birthday, August 26, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Ralph (Bud) for 66 years.

Jackie grew up in West Seattle and stayed in the area to raise her children, Linda, Larry, and Debbie. She moved to Whidbey Island upon retirement.

While living in Seattle, Bud & Jackie started a dance club “Midnighters”. Jackie was involved in “Campfire Girls” as a Candy mom, and “Leader,” all of which she enjoyed very much.  Jackie sang with “ Sweet Adelines” and was an avid (competitive) Bridge player, and was very successful selling Avon on Whidbey Island.

Jackie is survived by her husband, 3 children, Linda, Larry (Melrose), Debbie (Larry), six grandkids, nine great grandkids, one great great granddaughter.

A memorial will be held Oct. 6th at 11:00 AM at West Side Presbyterian Church, 3601 California Ave SW, Seattle 206-935-4477 – Reception following.
