Jean M. McCarty passed away on Feb. 7, 2008.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Art (who died this previous November), her daughter Carol (died in July 1997) and her sister, Gloria.

She is survived by her granddaughter Tammy, Tammy’s husband Bret and great-grandchildren Tony, Charlie, Sam and Savannah. Also surviving are several cousins, nieces and nephews which include members of the Reys and Schukar families of South Whidbey.

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Columbia Lutheran Home, 4700 Phinney Ave N., Seattle, 98103. Her body will be laid to rest at Evergreen-Washelli Cemetery in Seattle, next to her husband, during the days before the service.
