Jean McCabe, 78, of Freeland passed away, Oct. 18, 2009 of natural causes.

Jean was born in Tunbridge Wells, England. She moved to the U.S. in 1956. Jean was a great mother, a great wife, a wonderful cook, and a pretty darn good golfer. Jean was an active member in the community and always giving of her time for those less fortunate. She was a very active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeland. Jean spent her professional years as a nurse.

Jean is survived by her husband Dr. Donald McCabe, her daughter Karen, her son Derek, and her five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeland. Those who knew and enjoyed Jean are invited to come celebrate her life.
