Jeanette Faye Hagstrom, age 73, passed away on Oct. 17, 2019. She was the wife of Les Hagstrom. They shared 52 years of marriage together.
She was born to Marguerite (Peggy) Neely and Vernon Greear at the first aid station in Ryderwood, WA. She attended schools in Ryderwood, Vader and then graduated from Toledo High School. She worked at Pacific Northwest Bell in Seattle from 1964-67, and then was a wonderful wife and stay at home mother on South Whidbey.
She enjoyed gardening, quilting, fishing, humor, the Mariners, and was a very good cook. She was extremely warm and kind and often put the needs of others ahead of her own. She had a beautiful smile and laugh.
She is survived by her husband Les Hagstrom, son Allen Hagstrom, daughter Amy Hagstrom and her husband Jeff Damphier, granddaughter Haley Hagstrom, and siblings Bill, Judy, and Larry Greear.
A casual gathering of love and appreciation will be held on November 16th, 2019 at Freeland Hall (1515 Shoreview Dr., Freeland, Washington) from 1-3 p.m. Friends and family are welcome. In addition, a party in Jeanette’s honor will occur next summer at Les’s home in Clinton.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or Good Cheer Food Bank are welcome.
