Jennifer Greenleaf

Jennifer Lee (Caton) Greenleaf was born on March 26, 1959 in Sewickley, Penn. to Lee and Cecilia Caton. Jenny moved to Whidbey Island with her family in 1965, and graduated from Langley High School in 1977.

Jenny entered heaven on Aug. 15, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jenny is survived by her loving husband, Mark Greenleaf, Washington; her step-daughter, Sarah (Aaron) Janus, mother Cecilia Leininger, Pennsylvania; sisters Rebecca (Ray) Douty, Kelly (Jerry) Short, Pennsylvania; brothers Christopher and Douglas Caton, Washington; nieces Gabrielle Cumpston, Chandra and Jaylee Caton; nephews Aaron Cumpston and Turner Caton; and life-long friend, Joye Brown Veit.

She is predeceased by her sister, Victoria Ann, and father Lee Caton.

Jenny was a beautiful person and is now among the angels in heaven. She was a fun and adventurous girl, who also lived on Camano Island, and in Hawaii, Alaska and Arizona. Her adventures included skydiving, time in the Air Force, and working for the forest service. She most recently worked as a medical assistant in Goldendale.

Jenny was the most caring and loving person; she loved to laugh and make people laugh. She rarely took anything too seriously.

She was a loyal wife, daughter, sister and friend who will be missed by all of those that had the joy to know her.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22 at Maxwelton Park.
