Sadly, we’ve lost the best sister, aunt, daughter, cousin and BEST friend. Kristine Ann Worland passed away, Aug. 6, 2020, the day after her 57th birthday, in Scottsdale, Ariz. after a brief illness.
Kristine was born Aug. 5, 1963 in Seattle, Wash., to Byron and Sigrid Worland. She spent the majority of her childhood in Clinton, Wash., and graduated from Langley High School in 1981. She went on to pursue a degree in computer science from Western Washington University. An unrelenting traveler, Kristine spent the last 20 years as an international large-systems project manager and filling her calendar with trips to friends and family throughout the world.
She leaves sisters, Camie (Tom) Davies and Linda (Blake) Little; brother, Ken; best friends, Laura, James, Christian, Julie, Chrisdy, Dave, Mo and so many more; nephews, Chris and Jacob; nieces, Lindsey, Megan and Colleen; and grandchildren pro-tem, William and Evie. Many of her loved ones were able to spend time with her during the last few months.
Kristine was fond of unique-colored everything, travel adventures, Maker’s Mark old fashioneds, Broadway theater, Tumi luggage, Kate Spade purses, Nordstrom and, above all else, cats.
We are all so lucky to have had her in our lives and are thankful for the many adventures we all shared. She was truly loved.
Life is short. Life is precious. And right now it’s certainly unpredictable. Make some phone calls, folks, and keep your friends and family close. You may not get another chance.
A memorial for Kristine will be announced for sometime this fall. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the American Pancreatic Cancer Society, or the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix, Ariz.
