Lucrecia Firme Fortin, age 91, a long-time Oak Harbor resident, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2022 in University Place, Washington.
Lucrecia was born on March 15, 1931, in San Felipe, Philippines. Lucrecia lived in the Philippines through World War II and on March 31, 1964, married Florencio Fortin in the Philippines. Lucrecia emigrated to the United States in 1965 and settled in Pennsylvania, before moving to Oak Harbor, WA in 1971.
A long-time parishioner of St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, Lucrecia lived in Oak Harbor until 2008 before moving to the Seattle area. She is survived by her daughter Debbie Fortin, sisters Gregoria Fortin and Faye Mago, and brothers Federico Firme and Alfredo Firme.
