Lynette Anne Tallman Besst, 43, died Dec. 5, 2003.

She was born May 28, 1960, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Thomas Norman Tallman and Diane MacDonald Watts. In 1987 she graduated from optical school in Los Angeles, and in 1990 moved to Whidbey Island. The community on Whidbey Island gave her much love, peace of mind and support. She was a homemaker and devoted mother. She was previously married to Charles Robert Hutchinson II of Las Vegas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Guy Besst, and her grandparents, George and Lorraine MacDonald.

She is survived by two daughters, Allison Diane Besst, 18, and Megan Elizabeth Besst, 12; her parents, William and Diane MacDonald Watts; and her “second parents,” aunt and uncle Lawrence E. and Vivian MacDonald.

A visitation will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Visser Funeral Home, Langley. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Freeland. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Bayview Cemetery.
