Marie Lucas Deaver, 79, passed away Jan. 2, 2009 in Clinton.

She was born Dec. 14, 1929, a daughter of John and Mary DeBore in Seattle. She was raised and attended school in Seattle.

She was co-owner of Van’s Metal Spinning and Manufacturing, working in metal fabrication. She married Floyd Lucas. They moved from Seattle to Whidbey Island 32 years ago. Mr. Lucas preceded her in death in 1991.

On April 8, 1995, she married Roy P. Deaver. They enjoyed travel in their motor home. She loved her flowers and garden.

She is survived by her husband Roy Deaver of Clinton.

At Marie’s request, there will be no service. Interment will be at Bayview Cemetery.
