Marvin Edward Stadler, born Dec. 13, 1937, passed away Feb. 1, 2010.

Marv is son to Mary and Charles and brother to six siblings. He is the father of Kory Stadler Solkey, Debbie (Al Tenuta), Mary Jo (Jeff Lambert), and Lisa (Patrick Maher). Marv is also the grandfather of 12 children, Sean, Michael, Kyla, Matthew, Adam, Jeffrey, Jason, Kelsey, Nicky, Samantha, Kiernan and Aidan, and the great-grandfather to Taylor, Madison, Asher and Emmalee.

In his more than 30 years with Samsonite, Marv traveled the world, experiencing life and making long lasting friendships. When his travels were over, he settled into his home on Whidbey Island. There, Marv made more friends and found yet another home at Freeland Caf??.

Marv was big supporter of the local high school’s sporting events. You could often find him at a game cheering on all of the kids Рnot just the ones he knew. In many ways, Marv lived his life out loud. The silence now is deafening.

A private memorial service is being held by the family.
