Mary M. Robinson, born in Rainier on Dec. 16, 1930, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, on her beloved Whidbey Island.
A longtime resident of Seattle, Mary attended the University of Washington and was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Mary worked for the Seattle School District, the National Park Service, and retired from the United States Marshals Service.
She taught classes and traveled to numerous locations, including Tokyo, Japan, and Frankfurt, Germany. Mary loved those adventures. In recent years she enjoyed gardening and thrift-store shopping.
Mary was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She is survived by her sons Bill (Michelle), Greg (Steve Charles), and Doug; daughter Lynn (Jim) LaRiviere; grandsons Kurt and Karl; nieces Gayla Field and Gina Granat; and dear friends Annamarie Lavieri and Al Gunther. Mary is remembered by a large extended family and community of friends.
A celebration of Mary’s Life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11 at the Ballard Elks Lodge, 6411 Seaview NW in Seattle. For more info call 206-979-1640.
