Naomi Vyrostek: August 1, 1944 – February 7, 2025

Naomi Jane Vyrostek, 80, of Greenbank, WA passed away peacefully February 7, 2025 of respiratory failure at her residence. She was born August 1, 1944 in Seattle, WA to the late Walter and Naomi Foote. She went to Queen Anne High School, class of ’62.

Naomi lived in the Seattle area until she moved with her two young children to Hawaii in ’71, where she worked in property management until moving back to Washington in ’85 to help her mother care for her ailing father in Greenbank, and stayed for good.

She worked for WSDOT as a ferry worker and absolutely loved her co-workers and customers, retiring after 15 years of service.

Naomi loved to people-watch, tell jokes and was quick to laugh with friends and family. She loved being in the sunshine and has lived in Greenbank on Lagoon Point for 40 years. She was such a happy, proud new great-grandma.

Naomi was preceded in death by her father, Walter Henry Foote, her mother Naomi Jane Buzard (remarried), and her brother Walter (“Wally”) Foote Jr.

She is survived by her son Robin Weigel, her daughter Naomi Smith, her granddaughter Erica Lucente, her two great-grandchildren, Sloane and Kaikoa Lucente, her brother Kelly Foote, and her dear friend Henry Vyrostek. Her friends remember her as “tons of fun.”

Naomi’s wishes were to be cremated and to forgo any memorial service, wanting everyone to remember her smiling face, laughter and good times.
