Rev. Otis A. Lee of Clinton passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 31, 2008. He was 91.
Rev. Lee was a pastor and missionary of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, as is his wife, Kathryn, who survives him.
Born May 6, 1916 in Hollywood, Calif., Otis graduated from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minn., and served parishes in California, Idaho, North Dakota, Alaska and Brazil.
His love of the world and nature inspired those closest to him. As an accomplished photographer he documented his life in wonderful pictures, a legacy to those who survive him: wife Kathryn; sisters Marion Ruud, Lenora Ruud and Sylvia Lee; four daughters, Sylvia Ruud, Becky Hirdman, Elizabeth Lee and Solveig Lee; five grandchildren, Colin Hirdman, Kara Hirdman de Bonilla, Julian Lee Hein, Samantha
Hofstad-Lee and Solveig Grace Lee; and two great-grandchildren, Alejandra and Pablo Bonilla.
He was preceded in death by his son Paul in 2006.
Otis’ ready smile, his goodness and his personal charm as husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend will be deeply missed by all.
Funeral services will be held on a future date.
