Pat Edward Self, 85, of Ledgewood Beach, passed away on Dec. 28, 2010.

He was born on Sept. 5, 1925 to John Thomas and Vicy Lou (Brown) Self in Mount Vernon, Texas.

After high school, Pat joined the Navy, and he served in the Pacific Theater of World War II as well as in the Korean conflict.

Pat is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joyce (Ausk); and his children. He is survived by his grandchildren, Kenneth M. Conway, Douglas A. Conway and Sean Von Pusl; and two great-grandchildren. Pat and Joyce will be scattered together at sea.
