Ralph (Bud) Daniel Benefiel

Jan 5th, 1924 – Nov. 19th, 2012

Bud grew up in West Seattle, graduated from WSHS Class of 1942, and attended the University of Washington.

He was called to war in 1944 and served in the Navy as a Radioman 2nd Class in the Aleutians. He then worked for Shell Oil Company for 30 years and retired to Whidbey Island.

Bud loved to fish, camp, dig razor clams, cut wood for the winter and dancing. He loved to read books and spent hours watching ships navigate through the channel by their home.

Bud is preceded in death by his wife, Jackie of 66 years. He is survived by his sister, Lois, children Linda, Larry (Melrose), Debbie (Larry), 6 grandkids, 9 great grandkids, 1 great great granddaughter (the apple of his eye).
