Rebecca (Becky) Marie Baumert, age 64, passed away peacefully on November 6th, 2022. She was born March 5th, 1958, in Fairfield, California. She was the eldest of five children.

Becky met the love of her life, Frank (Rusty) Baumert, one day in her high school math class when he was sitting in her seat. They shared almost 50 years together creating memories and were married January 25th, 1975. After Rusty joined the Navy, they relocated to Okinawa, Japan and Puerto Rico. They lived overseas for a few years before returning stateside and settling down in Everett, Washington to raise their children. Rusty and Becky built their dream home on Whidbey Island and moved to Freeland in 2017.

Becky loved her family and being a grandma. She was heavily involved in each of her grandchildren’s lives, never missing an event, game, birthday, or graduation. She volunteered at their school and attended many field trips. The grandchildren enjoyed many camping trips, Disney vacations, and company picnics with their grandma.

Becky was a caring soul, who always wanted to spend time with family and friends. She was crafty and enjoyed making decorations especially if it involved family, sand dollars, Seahawks or a holiday. She was a season ticket holder and enjoyed attending Seahawks games.

She is preceded in death by her father, Bill, and survived by her mother, Louiese, husband, Rusty, their children, Dan, Ben, and Karen, as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren.
