Robert Eugene Lloyd, born January 5, 1960, in Shelton, Washington, passed away at his home in Clearwater, Florida, on July 20, 2024. He was the cherished son of Betty Daniels-Smith and Vic Henry.
After enlisting in the Army, Robert was stationed in South Korea, where he proudly served his country. He later married Lisa Venable Wyse, and together they had a son, Cody Lloyd. Robert was also a loving father figure to Lucas Wiles.
Robert’s life journey took him from Washington to Kentucky and eventually to Florida, where he enjoyed the last 17 years with his girlfriend and best friend, Beverly Elmore. Their bond was a testament to enduring friendship and love.
Robert’s passion for golf began at Useless Bay Golf Club on Whidbey Island, a sport he enjoyed throughout his life. He was also a dedicated leader, serving as the President of the Shelton Kings organization.
An avid lover of cookouts, Robert especially enjoyed barbecuing salmon and sharing those moments with family and friends. His passion for volunteering in his community was a defining aspect of his life, showcasing his generous spirit and adventurous heart.
Robert Lloyd is survived by his mother, Betty Daniels-Smith, and stepfather Vic Henry; sisters Joanne Leathart of Marysville, Washington, and Shirley Peters of Tumwater, Washington; brother Gordon Henry and sister-in-law Robyn Henry of Shelton, Washington; best friend Beverly Elmore; sons Cody Lloyd and Lucas Wiles; his many nieces and nephews. His legacy is carried on by his five beloved grandchildren Tiana, Joslyn, Savana, Rusty, and Zeyden, whom he adored deeply.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be held at Callanan Park in Shelton, Washington, on August 31, 2024, at 11 AM.
