Robert W. Petosa (Rob) passed away peacefully at home October 12th 2016. He was born December 15th 1953 in Seattle. He is preceded in death by his father Robert Louis Petosa (Bob), his infant son Tino Isaac Petosa and step dad Charles Dunham. He is survived by his mother MaryJane Petosa Dunham, brother Jack F. W. He grew up in the View Ridge neighborhood of Seattle, attended Assumption school View Ridge and Nathan Eckstein. The family then moved to Whidbey Island in 1968 and Rob graduated from Langley high school in 1971. Rob worked with his dad at Petosa restaurants in Monroe and Snohomish. He was a great chef and loved to create tasty meals and desserts for family, friends and special occasions. Rob hasn’t left us he will live on in our hearts with his love of music and the sounds from his guitar that brought us together in song, dance, and celebration. He loved to cook and shared his talent with family and friends even when he was very sick. He would make desserts, bread, and cakes for those who came to visit. He loved to play baseball in high school and later grew to love golfing, gardening and spending time outdoors in the warmth of the sun until the very end.
His strength and love for his family gave him almost a year and half longer to be with loved ones than the doctors expected.
Celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday October 20th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Everett, WA. Presiding Priest Uncle Fr. Joseph Petosa. Donations in Rob’s honor can be made to Providence Hospice of Snohomish County.
