Ronald C. Keller: Jan. 10, 1943 – Nov. 4, 2020

Ron Keller passed away at the age of 77 on Wednesday evening, Nov. 4, 2020, in his home with his wife and son by his side.

He enlisted in the Navy Reserves in 1960 at age 17 at Sand Point, Wash. At age 19, he transferred to the Navy TAR program and was then stationed at Jacksonville, Fla. His next duty station was Belle Chase, La., where he met and married Ellen, the love of his life.

Prior to the birth of their son, Terry, they adopted Ellen’s sister, Nancy, at age 9. From Belle Chase Naval Air Station, they went to Moffett Field in Sunnyvale, Calif., and then Willow Grove in Warminster, Penn.

His last duty station was at Whidbey Island, Wash., where he established a new squadron, VAQ-309.

After he retired as a Command Master Chief with 22 years of service, he obtained an AA degree from Skagit Community College and his BA in cultural anthropology and history from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Wash.

He was a wonderful, loving husband to his wife, Ellen, for 53 years and exceptional father to his son, Terry. He will be missed greatly by his wife, son, sister-in-law Nancy Watson, nephew Adam Osborne, great-nieces and friends.

Per his wishes, there will be no services.
