Shelly Spears
Shelly Spears passed away in her sleep on June 25. She was 54.
Shelly was born in May, 1961 in Ellensburg, Wash., to Basil and Sally Spears of South Cle Elum.
Shelly was part of the class of 1979.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce Cleary; two step-children; three grandchildren; seven siblings; and many loved ones.
Pre-deceased members include her parents, Shelly’s son Joshua Dean Smith, Carol Tallman-Tuzil, Danel Spears, and Ella Bergamin.
Shelly retired from Cotswold Collectibles as the manager of shipping in Langley, were she lived for the past 22 years. She was well-liked and loved by all who became a part of her life. Shelly said, “moving to the island was the best thing I ever did in my life. I have lived, loved, and laughed, and now I soar with the eagles.”
She will be missed!
A memorial potluck service will be held at 2 p.m. July 5, at the American Legion Hall Post #141 on Highway 525, Langley. Bring Shelly’s favorite.
A burial service will be held in Cle Elum, Wash. with a Dutch reception at the Sunset Cafe at a later date.
