Shirley Jimenez, 73, of Greenbank, passed away on
Feb. 6, 2007, after a brief illness.
She was born to Bert and Nellie Morris of El Paso, Texas.
She found her 30-year career in insurance to be fulfilling and greatly satisfying. Upon her retirement Shirley and husband Robert moved to Whidbey Island to enjoy the quiet beauty that the island had to offer.
Shirley was a member of the Whidbey Island Pebble Pushers and North Puget Sound Faceting Guild and happily discovered that there were a large number of island neighbors that shared her enthusiasm for these hobbies. These neighbors quickly became close and cherished friends.
Shirley is survived by her husband Robert; sons Michael Phillips of Houston, Texas, Audy and wife Lynn Phillips of Dallas, Texas and daughter Kellie Phillips of Bellevue.
The family requests that in lieu flowers a donation be made to American Federal Mineralogical Society Memorial Scholarship Fund.
A private service will be held to celebrate her life.
