Stephen Richard Hull, 60, of Langley, died March 8, 2003.
He was born Sept. 6, 1942, in Ogden, Utah, to William and Dixie Hull. At age 3, his family moved to Boise, Idaho, where they lived for seven years before moving to Salt Lake City.
He served two years in the Army. He lived on Whidbey Island since 1980 and worked as a plumber and handyman.
According to his family, he gained many friends with his quick wit and down-to-earth wisdom. He always had a good joke to tell and loved spending time with those he cared about. His passion was his son, Clark, and he never missed an opportunity to be involved in his son’s life.
He was a chief supporter of the South Whidbey Skate Park, and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dixie Hull; and a sister, Marilyn Silver.
He is survived by his family, Mary Jane, Clark, Jessica and Jennifer; a sister and brother-in-law, Scott and Linda Nielsen; and numerous other family members.
A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Visser Funeral Home, Langley. A service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Maxwelton Road, followed by a graveside service at Langley Cemetery.
