Sue M. Farrar, 70, passed away Tuesday Jan. 9, 2007, at the Life Care Center in Mount Vernon from diabetes related complications.
No services will be held.
Born in Chicago, Ill., May 12, 1936 to Henry H. and Vera R. (Hardman) Hayduk, Sue moved to Seattle with her family at age 13 where she attended schools, graduating from Queen Anne High in 1955.
Sue worked in public relations for the Seattle Police Department for many years before becoming a Realtor and eventually moving to Whidbey Island where the family had spent vacations since the mid-1960s.
Sue enjoyed caring for the many dogs and cats she had over the years, as well as gardening, clam digging and beachcombing.
Preceded in death by her parents and only son, Kurt, she leaves behind her three daughters: Kerri Brooks of Anacortes, Kathy Goebel of Sandpoint, Idaho and Kristin Ledgerwood of Langley. She also leaves two brothers, Duke (Sarah) Hayduk of Bluff, Utah, Dean (Ragnhild) Hayduk of Copenhagen, Denmark; and a sister, Bonnie B. Davis of Tacoma.
Sue will be greatly missed and remembered for her sense of humor and love for animals.
