Theodore “Ted” Chris Schiermeyer died Tuesday, June 20, in Laguna Niguel, Calif., due to natural causes. He was 87.
Ted was born Nov. 27, 1929, in Huntington Park, Calif., to his parents Carl H. and Sada H. Schiermeyer. Ted married his wife Angelina “Angie” Dec. 6, 1957, and they moved to Hemet, Calif., where they raised their family.
Later they moved to Whidbey Island, Las Vegas and then returned in recent years to Southern California. Ted was a general contractor in Hemet, Calif., and owner of Pageant Homes and built residential, commercial and five Lutheran churches.
Ted was a member of the Lutheran Church and active in Christian service throughout his life. He also enjoyed boating and shared this interest with family and friends, always taking great pleasure in his rose gardens.
He is survived by his wife Angelina; his brother William Schiermeyer; his children Charlotte (James) Kraai, Theodore “Chris” (preceded in death by wife, Donna) Schiermeyer, Louis (Mary) Schiermeyer, Mary (Calvin) Campbell, Judy (James) Kraushaar, Marc (Gale) Schiermeyer, Gail (Robert) Wilson and James (Sandra) Schiermeyer.
Ted will be buried in a private ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 29 at the Langley-Woodmen Cemetery in Langley. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Samaritan’s Purse.
