Veronica Bledsoe was born on October 11, 1936, in Glasgow, Scotland. She passed away Sunday October 3 at Home Place.
Her parents were Michael and Mary Bradley. She was one of 5 children.
Veronica graduated from High School and worked at a bakery as a bookkeeper. Veronica came to the United States in 1971. She became an American Citizen in 1975. She managed the Post Office at Saar’s for many years. Perhaps you saw her walking to work on Whidbey Avenue almost daily. She loved to read, cook, and travel with her friends Mary Kandzor and Jan Bueller.
Veronica has one surviving sister, Maureen, and a niece Michele in Scotland. She has nieces (Bonnie Swasey and Jennifer Bledsoe) and nephews (Scott Moore and Jim Bledsoe) from her previous marriage. There is also one brother-in-law, Everette Moore, and sister-in-law, Denise Bledsoe.
Services will be held Friday November 5th at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, Oak Harbor at 10 a.m. She will be interred at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
A Memorial fund will be set up at Waif in Oak Harbor.
