Wayne passed away Feb. 12, 2006.

He was born July 14, 1957 in Chicago, Ill. and grew up there. He was the son of Thomas and Ruth Covelli.

Wayne joined the Navy and was stationed at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island in Oak Harbor. After he was honorably discharged he moved to South Whidbey.

Wayne worked at Boeing from 1979 until 2005.

Wayne loved the outdoors. His favorite pastime activities were hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his daughter Crystal and her husband Michael Anderson of Maryland; his son Ben Covelli and ex-wife Michelle of Freeland; his mother Ruth Covelli; brothers William and Richard; sisters Vicki and Kari and his nieces and nephews.

Wayne is preceded in death by his father, Thomas, and brother, Wallace.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18 in the old building at Trinity Lutheran Church, Freeland.
