I have received some very thoughtful messages from Langley citizens about these monthly ‘Mayor’s Beat’ columns. Thank you to those of you who have written in or spoken to me and appreciate this approach to these columns.
Many effective organizations implement new ways to optimize their communications strategies and connect with important stakeholders. Last month I started inviting people to share their email addresses with me. The response was overwhelming. We are working towards a communication plan that links us with Langley residents, business owners, or anyone interested in hearing about the progress we are making on multiple fronts in the City of Langley.
Our initial goal is to get to 1,000 emails of people connected in this manner to the “Village By The Sea.”
This is potentially a very time-efficient and cost-effective way to make your tax dollars go further and to have our efforts reach as many interested people as possible. Here is the invitation.
You will not be barraged with junk mail or bothered on a weekly or daily basis, but you will be part of a select group of people who will be communicated with and will be given inside information about what is going on in the City of Langley.
Please consider sending in your e-mail and helping me connect with every Langley citizen, business owner and person interested in the city and its future.
We are on an exciting voyage this year of economic renewal and defining our future. Won’t you consider joining us on this great adventure in community building and economic development? Your participation will make a big difference.
Sending out written mail to residents is very costly and time-consuming.
If you agree to be on the mayor’s private email list, send your email confirmation to: mayor@langleywa.org
Your email will not be shared with others or used for any purpose other than what is described here.
If you have any questions, call the mayor’s office at 360-221-4246, ext. 12.
