Seven South Whidbey High School wrestlers placed at the Gus Compton Invitational hosted by Mount Baker High School in Deming Saturday, Jan. 4, helping the Falcons finish sixth in the 10-team tournament.

The host Mountaineers won the tournament with 252 points; South Whidbey tallied 78.5.

Aiden Coleman (182 pounds) paced the Falcon attack by taking second. Drew Aposhyan (126) and Dayton Birchfield (170) finished third, Dylan Davis (285) was fourth, Justin Moberly (160) nabbed fifth and Kaidyn Brinks (160) and Magnus Nyberg (195) were sixth.

The Falcons go to Granite Falls for a double dual meet Thursday, Jan. 9. South Whidbey faces the Tigers at 5 p.m. and Concrete at 6.
