South Whidbey boy’s basketball has clinched a spot in the district tournament, according to Falcon head coach Mike Washington.
It will be the first time the Falcons compete in the postseason since 2015. South Whidbey is 6-9 overall and 4-4 in the Cascade Conference after losing to Cedarcrest 64-53 on Jan. 17.
South Whidbey is third among class 1A teams in the league and have two wins against Sultan, thus guaranteeing a postseason berth. The Falcons could secure a home playoff game if they beat Cedar Park Christian on Jan. 27.
