Four fifth-place finishes highlighted the efforts of the South Whidbey High School swimmers Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Kamiak.

Ashley Lynch placed fifth in the 100-yard freestyle (1:02.76) and 100 backstroke (1:09.84), and Katie Zundel took fifth in the 100 butterfly (1:17.37).

Lynch, Zundel, Anna Bennett and Sarah Zundel added a fifth in the 200-medley relay (2:21.82); they were eighth in the 400-free relay (5:10.64).

Bennett added a seventh in the 50 free (29.99), two spots ahead of Katie Zundel (31.38).

Sarah Zundel was seventh in the 100 breaststroke (1:30.55) and 12th in the 500 free (7:39.74).
