Three fifth-place finishes by South Whidbey High School swimmers highlighted the efforts of the Falcons when Kamiak won 107-78 at Shorewood Tuesday, Oct. 15.
Ashley Lynch recorded the fifth-best time in two events (200-yard freestyle, 2:15.65; 100 backstroke, 1:11.47), and Park Forsyth was fifth in the 200 individual medley (2:36.72). Forsyth was also eighth in the backstroke (1:16.12).
Katie Zundel was sixth in the 100 butterfly (1:14.24), and her sister Sarah took ninth in the 100 breaststroke (1:30.2) and 10th in the IM (3:06.69).
Devin King was 10th in the 50 free (34.19) and 18th in the 100 free (1:18.17), while Abigail Ireland finished 11th in the 200 free (2:39.64).
The Zundels, Forsyth and Ireland placed sixth in the 200 medley relay; and Forsyth, Lynch, Ireland and Katie Zundel finished in the same spot in the 400 free relay (4:31.91).
Kamiak swims at Snohomish at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17.
