South Whidbey volleyball lost its opening match against La Conner 3-1 on Friday morning at the Class 1A state volleyball championships.

The Falcons lost their first set 25-18, won the second 25-18 and lost the third and fourth sets by two points, 25-23 and 26-24.

South Whidbey dropped to the consolation where it played Cascade Christian after The Record’s deadline.
