The South Whidbey High School tennis team slipped by Eastside Prep 3-2 Wednesday, Oct. 3.
Eastside has only two courts, so the athletes played a pro-set to 10 to speed up the match.
“We were a bit rusty after the rainouts and not getting outside to play last few days, but we came through with a win,” coach Karyle Kramer said.
“We’re winding down, two weeks left (in the regular season). I’m trying to field our best team for bi-districts, (so I’m) trying some different combos.”
The Falcons (3-5) play four matches over the next five school days beginning with a home match against Seattle Academy at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4.
