South Whidbey High School swimmers posted six top-five times at a meet featuring a trio of 4A schools — Kamiak, Cascade and Mariner — Thursday, Oct. 10, at Kamiak.
Ashley Lynch recorded the second fastest time in the longest race, 500-yard freestyle (6:09.16), and third fastest time in the shortest, the 50 free (28.45).
Parker Forsyth clocked the second best time in the 200 individual medley (2:34.95) and the fourth best in the 100 breaststroke (1:22.24).
Katie Zundel was third in the 100 backstroke (1:12.18) and sixth in the 500 free (6:44.6), one spot ahead of Abigail Ireland (6:53.49). Ireland was also eighth in the 100 free (1:06.42).
Sarah Zundel was 13th in the backstroke (1:30.05), and Devin King took 16th in the 100 free (1:18.07) and 21st in the 50 free (34.72).
Lynch, Forsyth, Katie Zundel and Ireland earned the fifth fastest time in the 200 medley relay (2:17.45).
The Falcons will compete with Kamiak against Shorewood at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the Shoreline Pool.
