Three South Whidbey boys and two girls made the cut at their respective district golf tournaments Thursday at the North Bellingham Golf Course.
The top 30 boys at the 1A district meet earned bi-district berths. Gabe Jacobson-Ross finished sixth with a 14-over 86. Lewis Mattson took 19th with a 98, and Max Rodriquez was 22nd at 105.
Brent de Wolf carded a 111, Dane Saxton 114 and Brady Hezel 115.
The bi-district tournament is 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, at Seattle’s Jackson Park Golf Course. The top 22 qualify for state.
In the girls 1A/2B/1B district tournament, the first 24 advanced to bi-district, which is also at Jackson Park Tuesday. The top 27 move on to state.
Tori Schuller took 12th at district with a 103, and Alyssa Ludtke was 18th at 109.
Bella Pierce shot 127 and Caitlin Sullivan 128.
The Falcons’ top golfer, Emma Leggett, a state qualifier last year, and Olivia Varga missed the district tournament because of illness, according to coach Joe Thompson.
