Katie Zundel recorded the best finish by a South Whidbey High School swimmer at the Kamiak/Shorecrest meet Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Kamiak.
Zundel nabbed fourth in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:13.48.
Ashley Lynch recorded a pair of fifths (200 freestyle, 2:15.07; 100 backstroke, 1:10.9), and Parker Forsyth was sixth in the 200 individual medley (2:35.83).
Sarah Zundel (100 breaststroke, 1:31.53) and Abigail Ireland (100 backstroke, 1:20.96) each placed eighth.
Devin King finished 17th in the 100 free (1:22.5) and 22nd in the 50 free (36.7).
The Zundels, Ireland and King were fifth in the 200 medley relay (2:28.24), while Lynch, Forsyth, Ireland and Katie Zundel took sixth in the 400 free relay (4:29.73), and Forsyth, the Zundels and King finished sixth in the 200 free relay (2:14.62).
Shorecrest won the meet 100-86.
Kamiak entertains Meadowdale and Lynnwood at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3.
