Maybe the next Federer or Williams is amidst the youngsters on South Whidbey.
Even if they fall a lob short of the U.S. Open, the coaches of the South Whidbey Parks and Recreation District’s kids tennis team will hone their skills. Kids tennis for youths in first grade to fourth grade begins in March and runs into May.
All equipment and instruction are provided for the young athletes for a $65 fee. The program is designed for new players and young tennis veterans.
Kids tennis team meets from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays from March 12 to May 9 at the South Whidbey Elementary School gym. The coaches are Karyle Kramer and Teresa Wheeler.
