Linden Firethorne torched the competitors at the Hampton Inn Wildcat Volleyball Invitational last weekend for the Central Washington Wildcats.

The junior outside hitter led her team with 47 kills and seven blocks over four games. Her play lifted the Wildcats to win all four games during the tournament, including 17 kills over the Division II eighth-ranked Cal State San Bernardino team.

Firethorne, who graduated from South Whidbey High School in 2011, was voted as the tournament’s most valuable player and subsequently won the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week award.
