The South Whidbey High School track teams topped their third straight Cascade League opponent with wins over visiting Cedarcrest Thursday, March 29.
The two Falcon teams won by similar scores. The boys beat the Red Wolves 74.5-60.5, while the Falcon girls won 76-60.
Kristopher Dixon led the boys with wins in the two hurdle races (110, 16.84; 300, 43.38) and on the 4×400 relay team with Carlhenri Chapman, Callahan Yale and Matthew Simmons (3:40.62).
Chapman added a first in the long jump (18-07.25).
Other winners for the boys were Sam Martin (pole vault, 8-06), Caden Spear (100, 11.7), John Bartel (200, 24.08) and Larsen Christiansen (javelin, 124).
Sophia Nielsen (100 hurdles, 15.87; long jump, 16-08.75), Emily Vanberg (shot put, 25-07; discus, 75-11) and Elizabeth Donnelly (1,600, 5:43.12; high jump, 4-06) were double winners in individual events for the girls.
Nielsen and Donnelly also ran on winning relay teams.
Nielsen teamed with Karyna Hezel, Alexandra Kurtz and Mikayla Hezel to take the 4×100 (58.96); and Donnelly joined Kurtz, Mallory Drye and Lila McCleary on the winning 4×400 team (4:25.44).
Karyna Hezel (200, 28.59), McCleary (300 hurdles, 51.68) and Maddy Drye (javelin, 79-08) also won individual events.
South Whidbey will compete in the Birger Solberg Invitational at Bellingham’s Civic Stadium at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 7.
