South Whidbey drops match to rivals / Volleyball

For the second time this season, the South Whidbey High School volleyball team fell to rival Coupeville, this time 3-0 at home Thursday, Oct. 17.

The Wolves won 25-20, 25-17, 25-23.

Kayla Knauer had “13 awesome digs” for the Falcons, according to coach Mandy Jones, and Maya Tschetter dished out 20 assists.

The Falcons (3-4, 4-7) play in the Wenatchee Invitational at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19.

The next home match is 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, with Cedar Park Christian (3-3, 8-4).
